A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of organizing a photoshoot right in my living room. I set up my portable studio: a large gray backdrop ( which I love because it highlights different skin tones and adds a formal, classic touch to portraits ) along with my light umbrella setup, adjusted to a warm temperature, just the way I like it.

The idea was to photograph my daughter Claudia and her two friends, Leyla and Elyssa.

As university students, they’ve been able to work in all kinds of settings, from Watches and Wonders to the World Economic Forum, for brands like McLaren, Cartier, Hublot, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Hermès. To work with certain agencies, a strong CV isn’t enough — they also need a polished, professional photo portfolio.

That’s where my idea came in: to do a shoot with them. It was a great opportunity for me to keep refining my portable studio setup, and they walked away with portraits they could use for their portfolios, LinkedIn, or anything else they might need.

I had the creative support of Claudia, who has experience as a model. We had a lovely time — lots of laughs, my caring gaze behind the lens, and a background soundtrack blending Middle Eastern and Latin American music. The session was relaxed and very productive.

Les Filles : Lumière, Caméra, Action !

Il y a quelques semaines, j’ai eu le plaisir d’organiser une séance photo dans mon salon. J’ai installé mon studio portable : un grand fond gris ( que j’aime particulièrement car il met en valeur toutes les carnations et donne une touche classique et formelle aux portraits ) ainsi que mon système d’éclairage avec parapluie, réglé sur une température chaude, comme j’aime bien.

L’idée était de photographier ma fille Claudia et ses deux amies, Leyla et Elyssa.

En tant qu’étudiants universitaires, elles ont eu l’opportunité de travailler dans divers environnements, de Watches and Wonders au Forum économique mondial, pour des marques comme McLaren, Cartier, Hublot, Vacheron Constantin, Van Cleef & Arpels et Hermès. Pour collaborer avec certaines agences, un CV solide ne suffit pas, ils ont également besoin d’un portfolio photo professionnel et soigné.

C’est à ce moment-là que m’est venue l’idée d’organiser une séance photo avec elles. L’occasion parfaite pour moi de continuer à perfectionner mon set studio portable, tout en leur offrant des portraits qu’elles pourront utiliser pour leurs books, LinkedIn ou tout autre besoin professionnel.

J’ai eu le soutien créatif de Claudia, de son expérience en tant que mannequin. On a passé un excellent moment, entre rires, mon regard bienveillant derrière l’objectif, et une bande-son mêlant musiques du Moyen-Orient et d’Amérique latine. Une session à la fois détendue et très productive.
